Arya Samaj was established by Swami Dayanand Saraswati in 1875 with the inspiration of Swami Virajanand of Mathura in Bombay Kakadwadi. The rules and principles of Arya Samaj are for the welfare of the people - the main purpose of this society is to give thanks to the world, namely physical, spiritual and social advancement. It believes in pure Vedic tradition and rejects idol worship, incarnation, sacrifice, false rituals and superstitious beliefs. It opposes untouchability and caste discrimination and gave women and Shudras the right to wear sacrificial rites and read Vedas. The motto of the Arya Samaj is VarnamantraVishwaMarma, which means - make the world Arya.
